This owner's previous involvement in architecture no doubt played a key role in her selection of this pre-existing home to house her family. As much as some of the existing features were attractive like large void areas and a mezzanine floor, other features such as side-by-side bathrooms and outdated decor needed attention, and an additional bedroom was required too. Our designer and client worked closely together with the resulting plans and specifications coming together quickly and smoothly. Although the bones of this home remained intact for the most part, we did conduct a rather thorough transformation overall - no room escaped, with each receiving at least new paint and floor coverings. Key elements of the project included a new pool, landscaping and outdoor entertaining area, reconfiguring and creating a large and inviting entrance flooded with natural light from highlight windows above, sitting room renewal with a new fireplace and built-in joinery, new windows and glass doors to the main living area, refurbished bathrooms and ensuite, new robes and of course the Matrix clad bedroom extension on the first floor. This home is now well resolved with a new lease of life for this busy family with three children.
